There was a lot to like about the hotel staff, cleanliness, and location but this review is meant strictly for family stays so I’m going to focus on things I wish I had known. 1. It lists the hotel as having a pool. It does not. It has access to the YWCA pool down the street…but only for adults 19 and over. Had I known this, we wouldn’t have upgraded our accommodations to stay here, thinking we were paying more for more amenities. We have kids the really needed to swim to get their energy out and it made for a less pleasant experience. So they really don’t have a pool nor does it say in their listing the access is limited to adults. 2. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. But there isn’t much room like most would have (ie no full desk and barely a seating area. I would say the rooms are a little tighter than average. I do like that there are only 8 rooms on each level. That’s a plus. 3. My wife didn’t think the beds were very comfy. They are stiffer if you like that and felt a bit worn out but had upgraded pillows. 3. We got connecting rooms but the interior door system they have meant that they automatically close (and get locked out) even if the door latch is unlocked unless you put a shoe in each door. No ability to prop the door open. This made the connected rooms less useful to say the least (And while the staff again were great and did the best that could be expected), we did get accidentally locked out of one room and half of us spent the night in another room until it could be remedied in the morning. 4. The self Parking garages are just as expensive as valet so if you have a car BUT don’t plan on using it, opt for valet parking, it will actually save you money. We drove all over this beautiful city during the day so we didn’t use the valet service and there are many parking garages well within walking distance.

From the moment we arrived, The Azur exceeded all expectations! The service was outstanding—warm and friendly, from the porter to the front desk team. This small yet dedicated team made us feel truly welcome. The hotel itself is fabulous; modern, beautifully designed, and whisper-quiet inside. Our room was a sanctuary of comfort: stylish, impeccably clean, and delightfully warm. The bed was an absolute dream—sumptuous linens, plush pillows, and a level of quiet that gave us the best sleep. The bathroom..pure indulgence! Heated marble floors added a touch of luxury, while the sleek, contemporary design was complemented by L’Occitane toiletries, fluffy bathrobes, and generously sized towels—every detail felt considered and exquisite. The location is just as impressive. A Tim Hortons right next door made for the perfect grab-and-go coffee before strolling the safe and vibrant streets of downtown Vancouver. Another standout feature - the convenience! We walked just 300 metres from the Waterfront SkyTrain Station straight to the hotel—so easy and stress-free. We enjoyed a 10min walk to Gastown and the CF Pacific Centre, Vancouver’s premier luxury shopping destination, was only a four-minute walk away. So much, so close by! The Azur is, without a doubt, a perfect 10! A seamless blend of boutique luxury, comfort, and outstanding hospitality. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to return!

We absolutely loved AZUR! The location was prime, close to the harbor, Pacific Centre mall, and the main downtown area on Robson Street. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was amazing, with dual sinks and heated floors. The restaurant Dahlia in the lobby had a great happy hour menu with oysters for cheap. All the staff were very friendly. Make sure to ask the front desk for a day pass to the local gym a block away. The gym has everything - swimming pool, machines, free weights, classes, and a female only weight room.

We thought the staff were absolutely outstanding the greeting on arrival from Yasmin (sorry may not be spelt correctly) was very professional. Gianluca was ever present in the hotel. Extremely friendly and professional. We didn’t eat breakfast but use the sky bar for drinks - great vibe and we used the restaurant at street level for drinks and dinner twice! Again no complaints all excellent

Location was super convenient- a straight short walk (5min) to the conference Center and water. While not a big hotel, I liked the decor, room was quiet, beds were comfy and I got a free upgrade! There’s also a Tim Horton right next door. I also recommend the restaurant next door (Hydra)!
